People seem content here. It's worrying. They're prisoners to a power stronger than them. I don't want people to live through that again. I want to stop it.

But we need to be at least a little careful. We need to learn more about them, and their city, and what they really want.

How long does that take? Some people have been here for years. I've seen what this sort of complacent attitude gets in situations like these. Where this sort of life is just normal — but it's not. It doesn't have to be.

You know what revolution costs, Nate. If we're going to try that here - in a world that isn't ours, that we could disappear from in a moment - we can't be rash about it.

We can't just do nothing either. Everyone wants me to do as they say — to play their game. What if I don't want to? What if I don't want to submit to them?
